My name is Eric Benton.  I’m originally from Little Rock, AR but now live in Fayetteville after a ultimately successful albeit longer than usual stint at the University of Arkansas where I received a BA in Psychology.  I am currently a baker (thanks college).  On October 30, 2010 I will turn 30 years old.  I’ve also been studying the art of magic and performing for friends and family since I was 12.  For almost that long I’ve wanted to try to make a go at becoming a professional magician but life, as it will, got in the way.  As this milestone in my life approaches, I decided that I had waited long enough and it was time to, at least, try.  So here I am documenting my preparations for my first show for an actual audience which will be one week after my birthday.  Hopefully, with hard work and maybe some luck, it won’t be the last.

Hey, Eric! …this will be weird, but I googled for you after watching your performance for the second time at Golden Corral in Rogers. My kids think you’re the most amazing thing ever. Great to know you’re a real human being outside the magic yellow spongeball!
